How to Create Your First Resume with the AI Resume Builder

What You’ll Need Before You Start

  • A Mentorrd account (free or paid)
  • Your current job title and key skills ready
  • Optional: An existing resume in PDF or .docx format

Step 1: Go to Your Dashboard

After logging in, click “Resume Builder” from the top navigation
or your dashboard home screen.

Step 2: Click “Create New Resume”

Click the “+ Create New Resume” button in the top right corner.

Choose one of two options:

  • Start from Scratch — AI builds your resume from your inputs
  • Upload Existing Resume — AI enhances your current resume

Step 3: Enter Your Basic Details

Fill in your Full Name, Job Title, Email, Phone, and LinkedIn URL.

Step 4: Add Your Work Experience

For each role, add company name, job title, dates, and bullet points.
The AI will rewrite these to be ATS-friendly automatically.

Step 5: Add Education & Skills

Add your highest qualification and 6–10 relevant skills.

Step 6: Choose a Template

Pick any ATS-friendly template. All are single-column and clean.

Step 7: Review & Download

Review each section, make edits, then click Download as PDF or Word.
